support for adult grandchild caregiving a grandparent

Hi! Are there any online or telephone support groups or other connections happening for adult grandchildren who are the primary caregivers of a grandparent with dementia? Thank you. ❤️

    If you look around on this website you should find educational classes and I’m sure there is a phone number. If you have questions, a specific problem, need to vent or just need some help getting started, this is also a great place. You are probably much younger than many of us which must make things even more difficult, but I’m sure the people here can still relate to much of what you are going through.

    This message board is the best place! Ask any and all questions. Also call the Helpline of the Alzheimer's Association at 800-272-3900 and ask about a local support group.

    I do not know of anything "grandchild specific". I think you will find a lot of general information at;

    alz.org>help/support/caregivers.

    Someone mentioned on another thread that there is a gathering of younger caregivers on the younger onset board—mostly caring for parents rather than grandparents but I think a lot would be similar.

    Thank you! I posted on behalf of someone else and am forwarding responses to them, with encouragement to get on AlzConnected themself. Good thoughts to you and yours…
