clenched teeth
DW has started clenching her teeth the past day and today. She will not take any meds, or food or even let a straw in her mouth for liquids. Any suggestions?? Meds are opioid for pain and anti anxiety, stool softeners. The Percocete is essential for spinal stenosis, she is bed ridden since this past week.
Learning how to change a sheet and diaper while her laying down has been a challenge also.

do you have hospice? They could potentially help. You can get morphine liquid, and there are also patches (Fentanyl) and suppositories if needed—wouldn't hurt to call.

Yes she is on hospice care, just started last week. Still doing initials but already getting supplies and meds. This clenched teeth just started today(?) showed signs weeks ago but nothing serious. Dinner tonight was a lite spaghetti-o's, she took 1/2 spoon full and turned away, drank about 1/2 cup of milk. bed ridden because of spinal stenosis pain so she's also on heavy Percocet dose, anti depressant, stool softeners. bowel movements about every two days because of no food but bladder is "flowing" good. I'll contact her nurse tomorrow.

Haven't posted in over a month now. Cheri's journey ended May 20th. Hospice did not even expect such a dramatic downward spiral. Not eating or drinking, morphine, oxycodone, gabapentin pain killers all in liquid dispersed with a syringe into her mouth. Within 4 days….. She stayed home through its entirety in comfortable and familiar surroundings.😪

@Cosmic So very sorry to hear about the loss of your dear wife but glad she is no longer in pain. May you have peace in time, and a gentle journey in Stage 8. Bless you for helping her receive comfort care at home as she finally gained freedom from this disease. I hope your grief is replaced by good memories of better days, sooner than later.
