About 3 am DH comes busting in my room and tells me in no uncertain terms that “I will never be the Queen of the Castle and that this is his house and I’m a squatter.” I was so darn tired that I started laughing uncontrollably. That didn’t sit well with him. I still can’t keep my mouth shut. When I think he’s downstairs, he isn’t. I guess I said it out loud too many times. But, I must say @Bill_2001 it has helped saying it over to myself. Maybe I’m starting to believe I am in fact Queen of the Castle. As a side note, he doesn’t know that the house is in my name now.

Lol … I’m sure we’ve all been called unflattering names during these caregiving days, but being called “a squatter” has to be a first. Thanks for sharing Wose! I’m still laughing!
