Hello. My name is Christine, my mother has Alzheimer’s. Soft diagnosis was in August 2023 and the final diagnosis was January 2024. It has been a wild ride to say the least.

She has been on Memantine for about 6 months now and recently received her 2nd dose of Leqembi via infusion. During and immediately after the infusion she feels fine, maybe a little fatigue. Hours after however she gets bad chills, which I know is a common side effect. No headache, but I would say she gets slightly more disoriented than normal as well. Does anyone have experience with this drug?

Thank you in advance and I’m looking forward to speak with people that truly know what I’m going through.

    Hi Cbender40,

Welcome to the forum. I have only read about Leqembi on a neurologist website no experience with it.

You’re in the right forum for suppprt though. Sorry I couldn’t be more help with this.

Welcome to the forum. There are currently only a very few participants-I would guess half a dozen maybe- who are being treated with Lequembi. It's still that new. We are hearing less efficacy for women and minorities, but it's all anecdotal at this point. Nonetheless, you have come to a good place for advice and support of other sorts-

Thank you for the support and info. Hoping it works for my mother, but more concerned on side effects.
