My DH has lost his dentures

We are in our second year since diagnosis (probably 4 years since onset), and are somewhere in the fifth-sixth stage of ALZ. He has stopped wanting to take his denture out when we go to bed, so we have been cleaning it in the morning. Sometime last night he took it out and has misplaced it. I have looked everywhere for it, and just hope he hasn't flushed it, although I think the trap is too small for that. This is the strangest thing that has happened yet, and some strange things have happened. Help!

    Could it be lodged between the mattress and the wall?

    I found my late MIL's denture under the bed wrapped in a blanket she had folded and stuck under there..

    It happened to us, too. I did everything I could think of to find them, including putting on gloves and going through all the garbage! We never did find them. The only bright spot in this picture is that he was in the process of getting new ones at the time and they were completed literally the day before he entered MC. I'm thinking he may have flushed them…

    It may turn up unexpectedly.
    DH here has a partial plate. We went on our last trip when things started to open after Covid. It was still mask wearing time for planes and buses. We left here, by car service, wearing a mask so I didn’t notice anything missing. Arrived at destination - no partial. He had no idea of where it could be. Left home? Airport bathroom?

    Came home. Searched house for it. Not to be found. Made an appointment with dentist to get a new one. Day before appointment I leave him home for about an hour. When I come back, he’s wearing the partial. “Where did you find it”, I ask. Answer - I didn’t lose it. I’ve always had it. Cue - call dentist. Cancel appointment.
    Where was it? No idea.

    Does he snack at night? Could they be in the refrigerator or cookie jar?
