I barely survived raising my own kids.....now my husband with Alzimers has become a defiant teenager. I am not wired to deal with this!!! Been a really bad day in my household. God give me strength!

    so sorry. We know how you feel. Have you read the book “The 36 Hour Day”. It really helped me. Also dementia caregiving videos online by Tam Cummings and Teepa Snow are helpful. Can you get help or respite care? Many counties have senior adult day care centers.

    My mom wanted to be taken to her home. She actually said to me “ I can do whatever I want, you’re not the boss of me, you can’t tell me what to do”. I don’t think I was ever that mouthy to her.
