Tracking watches

I am looking for a watch with gps tracking. What would you recommend?
We have Tile gps trackers on phones, keys, wallets. Anything else you would recommend? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

I also use tiles and phone apps, but he isn't consistent with taking his wallet and phone and I still work full-time. He always has his watch on so I started looking into something I thought he could actually use. He hasn't been able to use anything 'tech' in a while so an Apple watch or other mainstream devise is out of the question.
I found this company
it's an expensive proposition (the watch itself & subscription). I haven't pulled the trigger yet and don't have any experience to share with you, but thought I pass along the information.1 -
I heard a commercial for Sketchers shoes for kids with built-in Air Tag pockets - or something like that. I wonder if Sketchers has a similar product for adults, but isn't advertising them on the radio!

I put an AirTag in DH’s Skechers by just slipping it under one side of the laces (he has the kind that you don’t need to tie the laces). It has stayed there a couple of months. However one caution…I’m not happy with the tracking ability. It needs to be close to an Apple device for it to send its location. He wandered off during the day and walked about a half mile in the neighborhood and my Find My iPhone app never gave me a location. I want to look into something better.

I purchased the Tranquil watch for my husband. Despite the initial cost and monthly fee, I have absolutely no regrets. It gives me such a peace of mind.
The watch is waterproof, so does not need to come off for showers. It has a locking strap which needs a key to be removed. If he leaves the house, I receive a notification. Having the ability to create geo-fences allows me to create safe zones (ie; our immediate neighborhood) for him to have some independence, but once he leaves the zone, I am notified.Having the watch has made me more comfortable in taking mini-vacations with him this summer. No matter where we are, I can create safe zones for him.
The customer service for the company is like no other. When first receiving the watch I had questions. My phone call was quickly answered by an actual human being, and in follow up calls it was the same person I spoke to, who actually knew who I was.
The battery life is impressive ( for us, five days on average as we are on the go quite often ).
The watch has been life changing for us.

I forgot to mention, the Tranqui Watch has two-way calling. With the press of button, my husband can call my phone from his watch. If I don't pick up, the call goes to the next emergency contact listed in the app. I can also call his watch from my phone. There is nothing he needs to do to answer the call. He'll hear my voice and can just begin talking to me. It's an amazing feature!

Hi Michele my DH has an extremely good tracking watch. We tried a number of different watches and alarms but this watch is unbelievable.
It has digital and sweep hand time; automatic personal alarm if you have a fall; one press button to call emergency help; 3 nominated emergency numbers that are automatically activated at the push of a button or if you have a fall; a GPS tracking system that can be activated by anyone using the specific number; mobile phone technology to receive calls (we have spoken on the watch to our son 1500kl away); it comes with a magnetic band or leather band.
I have had to use the GPS tracking when he wandered away from home and a lady who had found him spoke to me on his watch (thank goodness) I have used the GPS tracking to find him in a shopping centre and at the beach,
I no longer let him out of my sight.
But the watch is truely brilliant I can’t fault it.

Any good purchase is matching the need with the product.
Our PWDs lack varying amounts of memory recall , judgement and ability to process and convey proper information.
ALL GPS etc tells you is at that time they were at that place.
Doesn't show or prevent if they crossed the street against a RED walk [ hopefully they aren't driving] or if they paid a 20 for a 10 dollar purchase because the clerk cheated them or made a mistake your LO didn't catch.
Or if they "hitched" a ride with who knows who . If they gave out information like DL or SSN to some random stranger just because they asked.
So you need to ask yourself , is knowing where they are the everything you need or hard as it is, is it time to face the fact that the progressive disease has progressed and your LO needs someone with them who can provide the needed memory recall , judgement and ability to process and convey proper information.
Look into adult day care etc. Dementia patients don't do well "free range."

I second everything that Nan J. said about the Tranquil watch. It has eased my mind considerably. The customer service is outstanding.
I bought it (with optional locking strap) over a year ago for my very fit husband who still walked unaccompanied and almost obsessively in a local park. Since then he has progressed to the point that I accompany him at all times. However, I still find it reassuring to know that I will be able to find him (and contact him--he cannot use a cell phone and the watch just "talks" if I call it) if we are separated in a crowd or during a walk. I can also tell whether and how far he walked during his day program (he cannot tell me himself) which helps me plan the remainder of the day.
This is my first post here.2 -
My DH has a tracking bracelet from Project Lifesaver. LA Found is our local chapter but I think it's a national organization. It can be purchased or you may be eligible to receive it free of charge.

My husband wears a tracking bracelet from Project Lifesaver - our local chapter if LA Found but I believe it's a national organization. They work in conjunction with law enforcement if the person wanders and is missing. It can be purchased and you may even qualify to receive it at no charge. Best wishes!

Thank you for your advice. I am looking into everything now. We are together most of the time. This would be a backup.

Could probably send an email to comany and ask.

I feel the need to add my standard reminder. Many of these devices assume you are someplace with reliable cellphone coverage, because they use the cell network to communicate. If you are in an area with poor cell coverage, the device might not work for you.
