been thinking of you. I lost my husband in August 2024. I know how you feel. I still come here for support and to try to help others. Give yourself time. We’re here for you. Hugs. 💜

When will I stop feeling guilty that his rapid decline was because I let the hospital admit him with agitation and that I am guessing was mixed with delirium. And maybe if I didn't ever take him in because of balance issues he would still be beside me right now. I am probably not being rational but am always second guessing everything

I am so sorry for your loss. None of this was your fault. You did the best you could do with the circumstances at the time. You were in an impossible situation and had no choice but to take the actions you took at the time. Neither of you were safe. Second guessing what you could have or should have done changes nothing. Find a grief counselor/therapist to help you through this. What you are going through is all part of the grieving process. It will take time to get through this grief and pain.

Can you find a grief support group in your area? Maybe contact a local hospice organization?

    hugs and love to you.
