One Way to Ask for Help

I am terrible at asking for help. Asking for advice - easy … asking for help - so hard. I mean, I've always been self-reliant. But self-reliant is not going to cut it when things get real around here.

So, I started looking for ways I could take people up on their offers, like when they say… "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help."

Here are some options I found. The websites/apps allow you to request specific types of help and people can choose based on their own skills, resources, and time allowances. I'm leaning toward the GiveInKind platform. Their video (linked below) describes it well.

If you've used any of these platforms, or a similar app or website, I'd love to hear whether you found it useful or not.

I've used Caring Bridge as an online forum in which to keep family and friends abreast of my health challenges, rather than repeating the same details multiple times per day. For my family and me, it was a Godsend.💯
