DH tried to clean the toilet today. I walked in and it smelled industrial so I asked if he had sprayed something. He said yes he had cleaned the toilet. I asked him to show me what he used…..

It was rainex windshield water repellent treatment😂

Bless his heart for trying! My “show me” moment was this morning when my husband said we were out of “those round things with meat inside”. I had no clue so asked him to show me the wrapper or package. He brought me the corn husk from the tamale he’d eaten. Now I know.

Apple Cidet!!! My DH wipes up the floor which makes me thinks he is aware of little messies. The bathroom smelled liked apples this am. Very sticky… I was tempted to sprinkle some cinnamon but came to my senses and used vinegar🥳

Apple Cider Vinegar! That did give me a chuckle 🤣.

My husband is still able to microwave meals and I often follow a trail of drips and dribbles through the kitchen and dining room as he makes his way to his room. Best thing I’ve purchased recently is one of those Swiffer wet mops. It sure makes cleaning up after him easier! Great for the bathroom too!

My DH still likes to cook, but he sometimes has a little trouble with the ingredients. I tasted his chicken casserole and noted, this chicken tastes awfully sweet. He had used cream cheese frosting instead of cream cheese. I'm just thankful he still tries to cook some. He's making chili today.

Grass seed instead of gas in the lawnmower, then a gas soaked towel to wash the outdoor table. Good excuse to upgrade to battery operated yard equipment! The really bad one, though, was my dh using a caustic spray cleaner as deodorant- ouch! All sprays, cleaners, fluids, etc, have been tossed.

The last time my dh baked (he loved to bake), he forgot the oatmeal in the oatmeal cookies. They were still good, though.

Before I realized my husband had dementia he destroyed two lawn mowers in one month running over the same pipe (that he had been mowing around for 35 years).
