My DH passed away this morning...

After 8 long days of watching and waiting, my DH passed away this morning. I am so thankful that his suffering is over, but I can't imagine life without him. I was there when he passed, and it means a lot to me to know that he wasn't alone. I will pray for him and for all of you who are navigating this terrible disease. Thank you all for the unending support this forum has given me. 💜

    I’m very sorry to hear this Palmetto Peg. The loss of a loved one to this horrible disease is heartbreaking at best. ((HUGS))

    Peg, I've followed your journey with your DH since you started posting. You were always a truly wonderful caregiver to your husband, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you were able to be with him when he passed.

    Like others have said, I hope that 2026 is the year where you begin to heal.

    I know there are so many arrangements to make right now, but please take some time out for yourself.

    Sending hugs of comfort…you’re never really prepared for the finality of it all. But it’s such a blessing to be there with him to help him cross over. May your good memories give you peace and contentment as you go through stage 8.
