I see many mentions of stages that your loved one is at. Where can I find this information. My DH is in the later stages but I'm curious which one and how it is defined. Thank you.

One assessment tool I see used here frequently is DBAT - dementia behavioural assessment tool. It’s helped me understand my husband’s condition.

I couldn’t get the link to post correctly but if you use the search function it’ll come up. Or, someone with better skills will post it I’m sure.

Here’s the link to the DBAT. I hope the link works. 😬
FYI - from what I’ve heard, your LO will most likely not exhibit ALL behaviors at each stage and may even go back and forth between stages sometimes.

Thank you for the links. I believe my DH is in stage 6. He displays most of the characteristics as well as some from Stage 7. It's good to know what might lie ahead in his progression. Both of his parents suffered from this and the three of them have all presented differently. But it gave me a heads up and a good idea of what was coming in most cases.

Annie TY for this reminder. Recently DW in late stage 5, early 6 has been exhibiting things from stage 4 I thought we had passed by. Especially some of the distrust/anxiety behaviors. It has been a bit disconcerting but reading your post brought me right back to where we are —- lost in wonderland I am sure. 😅
