@ronda b vent away! I’m sorry you had to tackle the snow removal! We, in this community, completely understand!
I can relate as I’m 73 and do all the week whacking, mowing, property and house maintenance on our small ranch while my husband watches TV.
I hope the rest of your day is better {{{hugs}}} 💜3 -
I'm pretty sure that we all have those days, those moments. Sometimes I remind myself of the times when I treated my DH badly, of some of the awful things I have said to him or the ways that I have hurt him over all these years, of how selfish I have been and about the sacrifices that he has made for me. Then I think that maybe these hard days are a way that I can make it up to him, maybe a way to make atonement…Sacrificial love is easier said than done. Have yourself a good cry and go out there and be the loving wife you want to be. Sending up a prayer for you today ronda b.

I do think we have a right to feel a little self pity sometimes. Think of all that we do to keep our LOs going, and even happy, while we sacrifice most of our own needs, interests and bucket lists.
I was involved in a personal medical issue this morning and working with the heating contractor to get our system adjusted, and asked DW to fix herself a bowl of cereal and some toast. She had no idea how to do either of those things.

I’m with ya girl! I cleared about 8 inches off porch deck driveway and car by about 11am yesterday. By 6 pm we had another 6 or 7 but a miraculous thing happened. My neighbor who we don’t know but share walls with did our snow 2 times. I think he feels sorry for me. He must hear our commotion.
DH says to me this morning, “We didn’t get too much snow, I’m glad you didn’t have to shovel.”🥳He did have a rather clever idea tho. After I showed him the suv with a foot of snow on the roof, he says “ just keep driving around the condo roads in a circle and brush it off .. not on our driveway.”😂. Could you imagine the looks and letters I’d get.

Right there with you! 12+ inches shoveling away at 74 yr old! Got half way thru my driveway when God sent my neighbor from across the street to help me! Don’t know how to repay him. I was so touched I cried!

Venting here is a good thing, helps me feel less alone. We don’t have snow here, but I have redwood trees all over my property. One fell in the wind a couple of weeks ago. Since we have some sunshine I took my small chain saw and my handsaw and went to work. I think the tree grew a new limb every time I cut one. Doesn’t look like I did a damn thing, but my 69 year old body feels like it. My DH thought I was outside playing with the dog, which I was. Throw the ball, saw a limb. Rinse and repeat.

I am right there with ya sista! I just tried to think of it as fresh air, exercise, and a quiet escape. Hang in there!
