Religious Caregivers
I was wondering if anyone could suggest some pertinent Bible verses, psalms readings. I have so many Bibles from my Mom and Grandma and 10 years of Catholic School. Just trying to find comfort in written words. Thank You.

For Christmas, I gifted myself Grace for the Unexpected Journey: A 60-Day Devotional for Alzheimer's and Other Dementia Caregivers by Deborah Barr and Better Than Reason: Finding God's Unexpected Path To Purpose by Samuel Linton.
Better Than Reason is a short read that has nothing to do with Alzheimer's, but has helped me look for purpose in my circumstances.
The devotionals in Grace for the Unexpected Journey help me renew and refocus every morning.
I also just started receiving Strength and Grace from Guideposts Magazines, with daily devotionals for caregivers.
Praying you find some comfort and guidance.

Dear @wose
Each morning I read the online Mass reading on “Word Among Us”. It gives the passage from scripture that you can read and then a brief discussion about a particular line in that reading for the day. Most mornings I am able to find relevance to my own circumstances.
I also loved what @eligius wrote about The Blessed Virgin Mary.
Peace be with you!

Psalm 18. It is long…a Psalm of David, the difficulties of his battles, how God protected and saved him from all the slings and arrows. These words remind me that God is with me in this daily battle. God will give me the strength (and wisdom) for this battle. Others may need the comfort, I need strength of spirit and to know that I am not alone. And, you are not alone.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthened me. Phil. 4: 13
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Ps. 46:1
