Columbo is my DH favorite! he can watch it 7/24! I got a Roku TV and no extra charges after the purchase. Although you did need internet. Which you obviously already have! Easy to use remote also.

Mine has watched all the seasons of Law & Order. It's her favorite show.

My DW never watched TV. Now, in stage 5-into-6, TV seems to be a welcome respite. Movies or TV series with plots and dialogue to follow are beyond her. She enjoys nature documentaries, especially episodes of the PBS show, Nature, which you can stream on the PBS Passport app. I quickly realized she does not remember them, so any that are especially clear or engaging for her I can repeat. Last fall she would watch some college or pro football with me. I signed up for streaming during the Olympics and she really enjoyed many of those competitions. Her favorite was women's curling, which visually is a mix of emotive facial closeups and then those rocks sliding and bumping — all pretty direct visual information. I'm looking into some of the free access to World Cup events for more possible sources of content like that.

My DH is stage 6/6.5 and the only show that holds his attention, and seems to bring him joy, is Masha and the Bear. It is a children's show on Netflix but possibly other channels have it too. My DH will watch for 2 hours sometimes which allows me to get things done around the house. It seems strange, but, hey, we do what we need to do.

Please rule out a hearing problem. Wireless head phones were a big plus for my husband who had dementia and a hearing problem.

My DH watches Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men and shows like that. The thing though when he watches these shows he thinks they are talking to him and responds to there issues. Not sure how to handle it. In the beginning I would tell him that it is not LIVE, they can't hear you. Now I just let him go.
