    The second link (about losing recent memories while still remembering events from decades ago) was enlightening. It made me reflect on how much joy my DH experiences when he talks with his old friends, and how helpful it would be for him if I can foster more opportunities for him to do that.

    DH can still remember the fun times from high school… before I knew him… and he enjoys reminiscing about those times. I have tried, but I can't really engage well in those discussions, not like his old buddies can.

    The video helped me realize what a difference it could make for DH if I would try to set up opportunities for him to talk with some of his old friends. Thank you for sharing this, jfkoc.
