I am so sorry for your loss. I hope knowing she is finally free from this disease brings you some comfort. I like to think she picked up her bag of memories as she left this earth. I feel bonded with you as my DH also has semantic variant. It is difficult to find many people on the same path. Take some time to heal yourself. Take care

I am not on this site with any frequency after my DW passed over two years ago, but I remember your posts vividly, Vitruvius. They were always thoughtful, sensitive, and kind. And I remember the significant health issue you faced.

I am so sorry that your DW lingered in late stage 7. Sometimes I can’t help but think there no limits to how much cruelty this disease supplies.

I hope you’ll have some comfort in the weeks and months ahead that your DW always remained kind and affectionate to you—that thought has sustained me, as I was similarly fortunate. And you should absolutely believe what you would like to believe—your DW loved you to the end.

    My heart is with you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your DW. You were a wonderful care partner to her over the years, please don't ever forget or minimize that. Sending thoughts and prayers to you as you transition into stage 8. Be good to yourself.

I am so sorry, Vitruvius. My wife was spared the worst, as she contracted lymphoma before AD could take her. One of the last things she said to me was that she loved me and wanted me to be happy. Your wife would have said the same if she was able, so please take that wish as if from her lips. God bless you.
