Desperately seeking housing

For those that read my first post, you know what I've gone through, and now I'm trying to locate housing for myself after spending seven years caring for my mother with alzheimer's.

I'm trying to find a room for rent or a kitchenette in the Bryan/College Station, Texas area.

immediately call 2-1-1 (in many areas) or contact your local Continuum of Care (CoC) (via HUD or local government)

All great information. However, the resources that 211 gave me were useless. There are only 2 shelters here and both are packed to capacity. Even Adult protective services couldn't figure out what to do to help me. So they paid 3 days in a hotel.
