Trouble writing

Hi there...my husband has Alzheimer's at age 64. I can barely sign his name anymore and can write numbers. What do you all recommend I do? Do I need a power of attorney to complete this task for him now? I appreciate anyone with some knowledge on this subject. CM

Yes, as jgreen stated, you need to contact an elder law attorney. They will advise you and get you up to date on your power of attorney and health care directives and advise your further. I'm sorry for your situation but I'm glad you found this forum.

yes please don’t wait. If he can no longer read and understand documents or sign his name you won’t be able to get a DPOA.
