Hi My husband has Alzheimers and I'm looking for a dentist that is patient and kind when handling someone with Alzheimers. I live in the Lincoln RI area. Any referrals would be much appreciated.

I talked to my dentist about my wife and it was a game changer. Her whole staff is aware and I get to sit by her side when she is in the chair. And they let her sit by me during my appointments. You will be surprised how many dentist, endodontists etc are incredibly understanding and accommodating

My dentist is in Lincoln, Illinois so I can't recommend anyone for you, but my experience is an older dentist with a small practice is very considerate and kind in dealing with my DW with Alzheimer's, and respects my need to be included in the post examination or procedure discussion.

I would recommend calling dentists and asking. We have a wonderful dentist and staff who are aware of my husbands diagnosis. I’m with him through almost every procedure. For the dentist it also depends on the patient themselves. Easy going? Frightened? Angry? So it’s worth a call.
