Grumpy Old Man
My DH is always mean to me. He thinks it is real funny when he locks me in a room. He loves to see me get angry. Always tells me I am fat. First thing in morning he says, Wheres my breakfast!! Like I am his servant. My 8 yr old grandson was visiting and it was constant teasing. MY grandson gets so confused that he is very disrespectful to his poppa. I am very resentful towards my DH. Will this pass, or get worse. Thanks for letting me vent.

Ask his neurologist for any medication recommendations. Ask about Rexulti. It's working wonders for my DW. I'm sorry you have to go through that. Vent anytime.

no way to know if it will pass or get worse. You can’t control him because his reasoner is broken. You can only control your response. It’s not him talking it’s the disease. Fix the doors so he can’t lock them. I would fix my DH breakfast before I woke him up. You are not his servant but you are his caregiver. That role will get harder as the disease progresses. Explain to your grandson that Poppa’s brain is broken and he doesn’t mean what he does and says. So sorry you are going through this. We know how you feel. 💜

Seroquel has calmed the hostility in my DW, for over eight years now. In my house, and most houses I know of, you can lock someone out of a room, but you can't lock them in. The doors lock and unlock from the inside of the room. Does he barricade from outside the room?
But I get what you're saying about being mistreated, I think exploring antipsychotic medications is a good idea. You deserve to be treated respectfully and kindly.
