3 weeks tomorrow since husband passed

The quiet , the lack of activity. I had no time to think before he passed away. Now my mind is flooded with thoughts. Taking care of an alzheimer spouse is so hard and the abrupt end is really something else to deal with. My life was consumed for 10 years. Once never thought what the end would actually be

So sorry for the loss of your husband. It is a different kind of grief we go through after they leave us, because we’ve been grieving the loss of their essence for many years before they are physically gone. It’s very hard to face a world without them but there is a peace and a relief to it that he is not suffering anymore.
Keep us posted as to how you’re doing. Sending hugs 🫂

    Dear @sherryandwilliam

My deepest sympathies for your great loss. May perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace. Take as much time as you need to muster some strength as you move forward in this next stage. I have you and your DH in my prayers.

I think about that often. I grieve now for the loss of the husband I knew, as he sits next to me. I fear the silence of the house when he is no longer hear. I’m sorry you are going through the grief process. It’s not easy to lose someone we loved.
