Nap time

Eligius, I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this. In my case, I don’t try to make him lie down. I just suggest that he sit for awhile and close his eyes. I get him comfy in his recliner with his blanket and our cat on his lap, turn on you tube and some of his favorite tunes, and he rests peacefully. Perhaps you could try that? He loves the old band, Bread, and I found an album of their hits that shows the words as the songs play. That does the trick. He sings along sometimes and other times just listens. He may not sleep, but he’s certainly very calm and relaxed. And he always forgets that he listened to it before! He thinks it’s a great new experience! He also loves Cat Stevens and James Taylor. It may be worth a try! Hang in there! We can all relate!
