As my DH is approaching the last stage of Alzheimer’s I am struggling to find diapers that actually work without leaking. I have found good pads for underneath but have to wash them almost every morning as they are wet. It seems to leak out the top and I have found that all brands sit low on his waist. Has anyone had good luck with a brand they have tried and if so could you please pass it on. Thanks

    Have you heard of the website parentgiving.com? The have high quality products and you can order different samples for a small cost and try them out and decide if you like them.

    When my DH was at home (he is now in MC), I tried many models for night use and found the sample packages from Northshore and Parentgiving invaluable. But it took time to order and try them. Most models leaked, probably because my husband sometimes sleeps on his side or his stomach and because he is slender. The ones that worked for him were:

    Dry Direct Ultimate Protective Underwear (ordered from Parentgiving). There is another model with a similar name but these ones have padding that extends extra high in front, excellent inner leg guards, and they are made in Italy.

    You may also look into NorthShore, there a little expensive. I've been using them for my DW for about a yr. You can call them (800-563-0161) and they will send you free samples to try out. I buy a case each month which contains 52 pull-up for $116.59. I only use them at night (due to the price) and depends during the day. They always wave shipping cost if you ask them.

    I also do daily laundry on the towels I put under my LO at night. I find they get clean enough on the rinse and drain setting instead of a full cycle, especially since I hang them outside to dry. Saves lots of time, water and detergent
