Angels Of Mercy...

As a recent spouse of my DW diagnosed with Alzheimer's I struggle with depression, sadness and loneliness. Once joining this site and reading posts I see that I need to shed the "woe is me" thoughts. So very many folks have situations far worse than she and I at the moment. I sincerely applaud all of you for what you are dealing with daily. You do it with grace, honor and love. Those virtues show in your posts. Obviously this is difficult and we all have our crosses to carry, some heavier than others. I respect you all and feel you are truly "Angels of Mercy" for what you do. God bless you all.

I'm so sorry for your recent diagnosis of your DW. I'm sorry that you are struggling with depression and sadness. You should seek help for that from your doctor. It's a tough battle for all of us, no doubt. Feel free to vent as much as you want here. You are in good company. It can be good for you to just get it off your chest.

We get just as frustrated, resentful short-tempered and depressed as everyone else. Please don’t assume you aren’t doing caregiving right unless you are a tower of patience 24/7. We are all only human. One day at a time
