Nearing the end
My husband is on the cusp of stage 7 and the fear of what that looks like from the outside looking in can at times be truly terrifying. I'm learning to live in the moment and not to deal too much on what's to come. It's really hard when everything seems to be status quo and then you look up and realize he can no longer do or comprehend this or that. And it hits like a brick.

I understand what you mean by the fear of looking in from the outside. My DH is somewhere in early to mid Stage 6 and I have that fear as well. He had a hospice evaluation and I was told he is not (yet) eligible, so I breathed a sigh of relief, but that unease still nags at me, knowing it is inevitable. I remind myself to live for the present, as I cannot do anything to change what will happen. My anxiety is for what he will have to go through, but I also have unease for myself.

so sorry you are at this point. I know how you feel. Hugs. Is he with hospice? Hugs. 💜
