My sister lives 8 hours from me and is in a rather fluid period of decline. She has 24hr care as we navigate a new living situation. I have a ring camera that allows me to see her in her living room. I’m wondering if I should bother calling her when I see she is disengaged ( just sitting and staring) I have had one incident on the phone when she got very angry with me and I fear I might trigger her.

    Could you ask the in-person caregiver for advice on this? Anger is pretty common for a PWD, and it may have nothing to do with you. Reactions are often hard to predict, but the person on site may have a better sense of when a call might be welcome.
