questioning my experience with DH

MY DH has recently been diagnosed with MCI and testing shows due to alzheimers. Our very good and supportive friends don't see symptoms i see causing me to question what i am seeing.

    You were smart enough to recognize that what you were seeing wasn't normal and it sounds like testing confirmed your suspicions. Receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer's that turns out to be incorrect is exceedingly rare. You will learn a lot by following this site but keep trusting your instincts.

    That will listen to you and does know something of the disease.

    My LO is from a hoarding family. It went from extreme hoarding on SIL's part, complicated by FTD, to Mom piling new stuff up and obsessively shopping. I started on her house after she went into AL. My "version" in the family, DH, is usually obsessively neat. His obsession with trash/recycle is getting pretty bad. He is worse at wanting to take your plate away, or if it's a restaraunt, he'll neatly pile stuff. Now he will spot a tiny speck on the carpet. There's dirt and hair all around, and leaves from my indoor tree. Just the tiny speck. So it's intensifying. He's solidly in stage 4 now.

    While MCI is easily diagnosed and can be caused by many things ranging from B12 deficiency to Lewy Body Dementia. What were the tests given to decide. onn Alzheimer's so early on?
