Ideas for things dh could “repair”

or take apart. My husband fiddled with taking apart an old garage door opener the other day (why he thought it needed taking apart is a mystery) and I thought more things like this would be good to have around to keep him occupied both here and at the day program he attends. They are having trouble with him being anxious and heading for the door too much. I know I could give him the garage door opener over and over again, but would like something that might take up more like an hour.

You might look at Goodwill or similar for used machines. Just make sure to cut off the cords.

Secondhand stores perfect for electric jugs, toasters, vacuums, or even clocks whatever you think would take his fancy. My DH was a computer aided draftsman so computers were his thing he also wanted a cordless mouse so he cut the cord off with scissors 🤣🤣

I’m sorry but the cordless mouse gave me a much needed giggle this morning.
