Sudden appetite increase?

My DW is at stage 7b per hospice. She has total aphasia. She’s lost about 40lbs over the last year and a half. She’s down to 100 lbs. She’s leveled off here for the last several months. Recently though, maybe the last month and a half, her appetite has really been up. She’s pretty much eating everything we put in front of her. To the point that I discussed it with hospice. I was afraid she might just be eating without realizing she’s full and maybe uncomfortable. And since she has aphasia she can’t really tell me anything. Hospice doesn’t seem to think that would be the case. They said she’d pocket the food or just stop at some point which does happen occasionally. Chtgpt felt the same but admitted it could be possible. There hasn’t been a significant change in meds except for maybe the addition of buspiron which is anti anxiety . Anyone else experience any uptick in appetite at some point in their journey? Do we agree that they would always stop if they were full?
