My DH is now constantly thinking about sex. Follows me around and asks to be intimate. Even if we have been intimate he forgets and gets angry if i try to redirect him. Tries to leave the house to find someone to have sex with. His doctor has increased his meds because he was having dementia psychosis. That has improved.

I am so frustrated. Any suggestions?

    I read most of it. You might want to skip down to the pharmacological treatments - there are quite a few listed. Definitely discuss with his Dr though to avoid any unintended medication interactions. At least one of the medications mentioned is available over the counter.

    Quite a bit comes up if you google hypersexuality and dementia, too.

    Hope that you’re able to find a solution.

    I went through this with my husband a few years ago. I called his neurologist and told him that he was following me around and constantly trying to grope me and just wouldn’t leave me alone. His neurologist prescribed Seroquel. That helped. I know how troubling this behavior is and I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with it.

    My DH went from no sex to going naked and wanting sex all day long. He wanted to do things he had never wanted before in our long marriage. I went along with it in the attempt to keep his anger down. It was just crazy for about 3 weeks then all of sudden he was done with that. Mine now has serious hallucinations and can't find the rooms in the house. Please hang in there Chris 53, he might change tomorrow. The best to you in this process.
