I'm getting tired of this job

I have been my DH caregiver since February this year. This has been the worst time of my life. He is belly overweight and is constantly eating. I do feed him gourmet food. And he still eats!!!!!

    I know it’s not funny but your heading made me chuckle. Not to diminish your post but I think we can all relate to being “tired of this job”. It’s a long road… some days better than others. I have no advice but I sure get being tired of this job.

    My DH has always had an oral fixation. Eating isn't always about hunger. If your LO is overweight, why not fix meals with fewer calories vs gourmet meals that are usually loaded with calories. If he still wants to eat all the time, keep lower caloric finger foods on hand. Our go to is popcorn. If the problem is that his eating all the time bothers you…well, been there myself and have had to just suck it up. I am not sure any of this addresses your feelings. I think some comedian must have said "have patience, this too will get worse." I hope that I have not offended you, but your title lends to a degree of levity. As Bill C. used to say, "I feel your pain."

    My husband always wants snacks at the nursing home. The staff teased him that he is going to need 4 people to get him dressed in the morning. 😀
