ALZ Talks by the Alzheimer's Association

For those who enjoy watching podcats, the Alzheimer's Association has a YouTube channel devoted to shows about Alzheimer's, lasting about 45 minutes each.

The latest podcast was uploaded 12 days ago, titled "I've Noticed Memory Changes in Someone I Know. What Can I Do?"

The next previous podcast was referred to as an Early Stage Connection ALZ Talk. The title of this talk was "Newly Diagnosed? Real Talk About What Comes Next." This podcast was lead by Anna Sampley at the Alzheimer's Association, she manages their Early-Stage Advisory Group (ESAG). I was a member of ESAG last year, and I know Anna very well. She is joined on this podcast by three of my fellow ESAG members from last year: another Dave, Andrea, and Pat. I have not yet watched the poscast, but they are all excellent speakers.

Another podcast on the list caught my eye, titled "Opening the Door to New Alzheimer's Treatments". Chris Weber, PhD from the Alzheimer's Association is interviewed in this podcast, I know Chris well, he is an expert in the field.

I'm scheduled to tape an upcoming ALZ Talk podcast. I will be joined by Courtney from the Alzheimer's Association. I also worked with Courtney last year when I was an ESAG member, she's another PhD and very sharp.

The ALZ Talks are moderated by Elizabeth Edgerly (yet another PhD, do we see a trend here). Elizabeth is the VP for Care & Support at the Alzheimer's Association. Elizabeth helped conduct the ESAG meetings I was a part of last year. She was also in London for AAIC, and my wife & I happened to bump into her several times during the conference. On one occasion, my wife & I were dining in a large restaurant, and Elizabeth and her husband happened to get seated at a table right next to us!
