Travel/compact BP monitors for iPhone
As we're figuring out/deciding on which infusion strategy for DW, her cardiologist wants her to use a BP monitor for daily or twice daily reads since her BPs are trending higher. Their office recommended "any home device." (thanks for being so helpful /s LOL) We have very little room to store a big arm cuff unit so we're looking for a travel size unit that pairs with our iPhones (multi-profile unit; ease of output to Cardiologist & PCP, neurology, etc.).
Anyone use a travel one? Recommends? Thanks in advance ;-)

We have one bought at CVS that's 6"x6" with hose and cuff. I don't know about phone connectivity directly but this couldn't be easier or smaller. I'm not a medical person and weigh less than 100#, cuffs are difficult to fit, I still can do it by myself.

Have you tried a wrist one. Not sure but I think they have a thing on some of the phones that will do BP reading, pulse ,resp and o2sats

Also you can save data on the wrist onrs.

I have an Omron. It is a little smaller than a standard Kleenex box. Very easy to use. It is bluetooth so you can pair it to your smart phone.

DH's and mom's cardiologists and my PCP are particular about precision. They recommend the Omron @Maru likely uses. It measures about 4 x 4 x 6" out of the box and is Bluetooth enabled. Wrist and watch apps are not as accurate. The Omron is as reliable as a professional cuff and stethoscope; DS is a nursing student, so we have both in the house at the moment.
You can manually enter the data on the iPhone Health app. I'm trialing my 8th BP medication so I take it daily. My PCP put a BP chart in the myChart or I can send her a screenshot of my weekly readings.

GAH! I should have read first… things move so quickly around here. I'm flyin' in ten different directions at once.
I put the Omon on the back up/replacement list for the WITHINGS BPM Connect - Blood Pressure Cuff, FDA Cleared, WiFi & Bluetooth device. I was on the fence with these two devices. It's so hard to gauge precision from reviews. Trying it out today. If this thing doesn't cut it on the precision arena, I'll return and replace with the Omron.
Thank you for the recommends and experiences, everyone!
