My Dh had a bad day yesterday. Was talking to him and things seemed off. Took his bp is was 151 over 119 pulse 50. Had him lay back in recliner redid his bp half hour later. 121over 40 pulse 50. Very sleepy. Slept till 530 then his bp was back to normal. What was so weird is that he said he was outside his body standing in corner looking into a painting and started to go into it when I first had him lay back. He has never said anything like this before. Has anyone had this happen?

This is a rare phenomenon, but there enough reports of it happening that I believe it. Has it happened with other POD is a good question.

We have had the BP fluctuations like that but not the out of body thing. That is as far as I know of.

    Wow, @ronda b

Your post reminded me of a patient I was caring for many years ago - I was a critical care nurse and one of my patients went into V-fib. I was able to shock him successfully. Later that day when he was rested he told me that he ‘watched’ me over my shoulder as I put the paddles on his chest. And then he thanked me for saving his life. I still get goose bumps.

my sister has experienced this. I completely believe it. I’ve read several accounts of this happening.
