Shadowing

I find my hardest thing at this point is my DH shadowing me everywhere I go at home or even on errands. He wants to be connected at the hip at all times. I can’t even get up to go to the bathroom. He wants to ask me the same questions over and over again and gets mad if I don’t jump, which I refuse to do. He was always a very independent person and so am I. Sometimes I just want to scream “Do something for yourself..” I know he’s scared but he refuses to believe anything is wrong and will not leave my side long enough for me to even do a zoom meeting. He would get so angry and it leads to worse problems. This is my first post. We are in early stage 6.

HI LinF - welcome to 'here', but sorry for the reason.

The shadowing is not uncommon behavior, unfortunately. Do check with his doc about a medication adjustment to calm that down. It sounds like he is agitated. There are meds available without being zombied.

He also has anosognosia. This is not denial, but rather, the total inability to see that anything is wrong.

Also, is paperwork in order? DPOA and HIPAA access very important.
