Oh, star, the banana phone is one of my favorite. We are in such a difficult journey, to be able to laugh at it was the only thing that saved Mom and I. Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot to me.

It's weird, Sayra, that after the initial devastation after she died, I feel like the loss of her is a blessing. She did not have a peaceful, or quick transition. I spent much of today happy for her, that she was free. I hope your dementia person is much more peaceful, but regardless you feel the same happiness upon their release.

abc, I had such a lovely time this morning laughing at so many of the post, but the fact that you remembered Mom saying "Boo!" was one of the heartiest. That was a gift for me. I thank you for bestowing it.

I think it's very hard, Zetta, to do an outstanding job for our dementia folks. Dementia is the cryptonite for "outstanding" - however, we stick around for the fight and that's about as outstanding as it gets. Thank you for being part of our journey, and I hope you are being as "oustanding"as dementia allows.

jfkoc, it was so healing last night to cry while reading the messages of support. And this morning it was so healing to laugh at things like root beer toasts to Mom. Thank you for a morning chuckle. And thank you for your consistent wisdom to all of us on the forum.

I am temporarily out of limes, thus my “toast” is delayed, but rest assured that your wild and crazy group will not be forgotten!  And, GLORIA! What a pretty name.  Praying for all of you. May I suggest, in addition to imbibing, you plan a nice beach vacation (or whatever floats your boat).  Relax, rest and rejuvenate.  Job well done.  And don’t leave us hanging, check in, please.
