    LT, looking around on the internet, R22 (the main component of Freon) is clearly being phased out (production and importation illegal since January 2020), so it might be worth a discussion about what's most cost effective--whether to nurse this unit along or to replace now.  Not clear to me how much longer R22 will be available.  I imagine it will take a while, but is probably worth looking into a bit in your research.

    Looking a little further, the news from the Biden administration this week is that R410A, Puron, which has been used in most units since 2010, is also being phased out by 2023.....so we may all have to figure out what's next.
