Met yesterday with my lawyer, sister and her lawyer.  Meeting was cordial and no blow up thank God.  

We all agreed my dad need a guardian, it will be court appointed 3rd party lawyer and their firm.

Also, my mom who been living away from my dad for 7 months, will now join him in an AL apartment senior facility.  This is big cause my my can get out of control of my sister and her controlling husband.

Here's the biggie, my lawyer suggested not only this guardian take care of my dad's affairs, but put everything (real estate and bank accounts are in now) into the trust and the 3rd party will control it too.

Court is Tuesday, so hopefully the judge will have no issues and gavel it so.  Praying.

Maybe this Twilight Zone Nightmare is finally coming to an end.  I do understand we still must be involved with my dad, but like my lawyer says go back to being a son versus FT Caregiver.

Sure sounds like a load off of your shoulders!  I am glad for you.

Glad everything went amicable, and promising.  sounds like a good and logical plan of action.
