M1 so glad she is settling in. It must seem so much nicer than  the hospital. She will have so much more freedom to simply wander around than she did in your home and lots more things that she can look at and touch without getting into trouble. I think my husband will do well. He is walking around the house unplugging things and talking nonsense. I feel sorry for you but a part of me envies you for having made the decision and carried it off successfully.

First report sounds promising. I can imagine the house is too quiet. Maybe out on some nice music and keeping busy will mitigate some of the sadness. Be gentle with yourself, you have been through a lot. I imagine your partner will be a hit at her new place.

Much better than could be imagined.   It is a good start; the staff sound as though they are doing a good job.

So now begins the new days.  Sounds as though your granddaughter is going to be delighted with some sweet gifts, aren't grandchildren the best thing, ever!
