My DH died

My husband of 48 yrs died on March 2. He had advanced Alzheimer's. I took care of him at home until he had grand mal seizures and the hospital said I couldn't give him the care he needed. They sent him to a nursing home and he was only there for two weeks and contracted covid. He died from kidney failure due to covid. I wish I had kept him home as hard as it was for me. Just need to vent. I miss him so much.

Sometimes saying I am sorry for your loss just doesn't seem enough we all wish you that know how sorry we really are, especially those of us who have lost their loved ones. This disease can be so cruel to not only the person who has it, but to the loved ones that care for them. I am sorry it ended like it did but I hope you can take comfort knowing that you did the very best that you could do for him and gave him the best care that he could receive. I pray that you will find a way to move forward and to take care of yourself he would want you to do that.          God's blessings to you Richard

Jane, I'm so sorry for your loss.  You were a good caregiver and your DH was blessed to have you caring for him. You did the best you could with the information you had concerning the NH. Most of us would probably have done the same thing. May God grant you peace and comfort.

Jane, I am so sorry. After years of loving care, it doesn’t seem fair that he passed. No one could have done more for him than you.
