Are you going to Scarborough Fair

Seems the songs I used to hear all take in a new meaning. Just feeling melancholy, listening to my dw favorites  blowing in the wind, sounds of silence, the answer my friend is blowing in the wind.

I'll say your wife has a good taste for music. But you're right. Many times the songs just have a different meaning.

toolbelt, I love your wife's choice of music. It brings back some good memories. There's nothing like good music with the one you love.

Those are some melancholy songs, and my favorites too.

I like "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" from the same era.  It always makes me feel stronger.  Not more cheerful, just stronger.

. . . parsely, sage, rosemary and thyme . . . . the words of the songs during that time period are deeply meaningful and deeply felt.  It stays with us all.
