Instructions: Create a New Discussion

ALZConnected members have several options to create a new discussion in the online community. Please follow these instructions to begin a conversation:

Option 1

1. Make sure you are logged into ALZConnected at alz.org/alzconnected
2. From the home screen, select the orange button which reads “New Post”
3. Select option from the dropdown menu
4. Give your discussion a title
5. Select the appropriate category for where you would like your new discussion to live
6. Type your message to add content to your discussion
7. To add a tag to help with search, begin typing to search for the appropriate topic or select “popular tags” to add
8. Select "Post Discussion" or "Save Draft" to post later
9. Once your discussion is posted you will be routed to where that thread is now live
10. You can add an additional comment or return back to the home page

Option 2

You can also post a discussion by using one of the quick links in the purple menu bar or by selecting a tile from the home screen

1. From the home screen, hoover over the quick links in the menu bar to see a drop down list list of categories. Select the appropriate category to post your discussion
2. Or from the home screen, select the appropriate tile which corresponds to your posting category. You may be prompted to select a sub-category
3. Select the orange button for “New Post” and enter your question or comment
