Recently there was a post requesting Stage 7 information. The attached includes some staging tools and also 1 pg info sheets on what to expect in final months, weeks, days, hours.

I also am seeing for the first time, a nursing care notes section with Tam Cumming's staging tool that includes how the caregiver is likely progressing (suffering) along with their LOs decline. Sobering, especially the actively dying descriptions of what to expect, but very helpful.

That’s really great info. I found the Stage 7 section very accurate. I also appreciated the Stage “ 8” part about grieving after it.

Thanks for staying on top of this, HB. I just reviewed it again and we have stepped into Stage 7, no question. Sad but inevitable, unless my LO was lucky enough to check out of this heartbreak hotel before now. That is not the case so far, so...here we are.

When I shared the resource, I tried to stay a bit detached from what it currently means for my DH and me. We are approaching the last years if he actually has to suffer through all of 7, which is possible due to his otherwise overall good health. I really, really, hoped he'd be spared the worst. I'll do a separate post on this.

"ttt" means take to the top.

It's a means of keeping it on the front page where new members might see it when they first visit. Another option would be for a moderator to "pin" it, so it remains at the top of the posts. Despite the suggestion, it hasn't happened.

Thanks so much for this resource. It helps me see that my Mom is at Stage 3 😕, and this document will help me tremendously in getting a diagnosis very soon.
