I feel exactly the same way…. we have been each other's shadow for 26 years. Caring for him after his Vascular Dementia diagnosis 11years ago I know watch him in Memory Care struggling to adjust in his new "home". It has only been a week and it seems like forever already. Can we all really adjust to a new life. I hate it :(

My wife has been in MC for almost 3 weeks. I go see her every day and things are going well. Today she said she likes watching TV with her friends. That made me feel good knowing she is not unhappy. I am very lonely at home and think that will only change when I change. I need to find other things to do. I just don't know what yet. I don't have a lot of friends and the ones I had disappeared when the Alsheimer's got worse, so I don't really want to see them anymore. Starting new hobbies or activities is hard, but I need to find something.
