    P.S. I've had a subscription to Scientific American off and on since high school. The one I had most recently lapsed about 6 months ago…. I need to fix that.

    Thanks for sharing. The article “You should know, I’m not a saint: Most caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s find themselves behaving in ways they know are counterproductive. The disease affects their brains, too" is very relevant to readers of this forum.

    We had a discussion on a similar topic: "Compartmentalizing - avoiding my own behavior changes" here. The article says that feelings of unfairness can develop.

    The recommendation for caregivers is something many of us know but may often neglect: give yourself a break and some respite" and you can become a better caregiver.
