You sound so much like how I'm feeling. I am terribly alone in a house with my DW. She's losing her ability to speak, is attached to my side, judgmental about anything I do for myself, etc. I want nothing more than to be truly alone instead of trapped inside this awful loneliness in my home.

Hang in there. You are definitely not alone with the feelings your experiencing.

    xoxo

Hello-I am new to posting too. My hubby is 70 and is in the moderate stage of ALZ. I am 63.

I have felt and sometimes feel the same way. Hang in there. Say your prayers for strength and patience.

I used to have a hard time not crying when my DH made what would be considered a stupid remark or kept repeating the same thing over and over. I too miss having someone to actually have a normal conversation with. He is becoming somewhat hard of hearing but it’s not worth the hassle trying to get him to wear his hearing aids. He’s not capable of adjusting them anyway or keeping them charged. That’s more work for me. Now I have gotten used to his current behavior and I’m just thankful he can still bathe, dress and feed himself. He also does a few other things around the house if I tell him to, such as folding his laundry.
