And fractured her c2, has a brain bleed and is now on hospice back at her MC. She's conscious but eating and drinking very little. She's on liquid diet for swallowing. I take her little dog to see her every day as well as bring her a Coca-Cola. She likes that and I help her drink it from a straw. I don't think she'll make it very long, maybe another week or two but my mom is a fighter so hard to say.

My DW is in MC as well so mornings I visit my mom and afternoons I visit my wife. The constant emotional and financial toll slowly errodes my well being. Like a dripping faucet that can't be repaired. Some days are better than others but the constant never ending drips called worry, heartache and concern are always there, day and night.

We all feel it. The struggle is real for everyone of us.

One more thing, my mom had a hard life. She was never loved or treated well by my dad. He always made her feel ugly and even though she finally divorced him she still was his caregiver until he died. Anyway, the other day she was mumbling about these "men" who were in her room and they were telling her how beautiful she was and how much she was loved. At first I chalked it up to injuries, dementia and medication but the more I think about it the more I'm not sure.

    You are dealing with a lot. Are you taking ANY time for YOU?

    Agree - we never know how long a LO will stay. Her vision you are describing is certainly interesting.

    Yes, with both in MC, even though it's still a lot, I have time to try and play a little golf or visit with friends.

    So glad that her visions are comforting. Prayers for your comfort too. You are a devoted son and husband.

    @ghphotog -

    I was just about to post an “I can’t do this anymore” post. But blessedly, I read your post and I realized my load is light in comparison.

    Thank you for the encouragement!
