    Hi folks,

It seems that I may be the only one excited about this. I am just not sensing that others are. I can not begin to tell you how critical this is. This will have the greatest impact on the health system for those living with dementia that has ever been put in place to help them and their caregivers. This I one of the most important times that you can actually change the outcomes for the better. I realize you are also busy but please find the time to do this. Thanks so much.

thank you for reminding us. I had set this aside to do later and of course had not commented. I just completed it. You are right, it’s very important.

Can you offer some clarity? As I see it, Medicare typically begins for folks at age 65 so that is the benchmark age for these types of policy changes to start. Are you asking for this to be expanded to include younger folks who do not typically fall under Medicare? I skimmed the measure and your comments but would encourage you to look for another policy action to benefit folks who are younger than 65. This seems to be targeting geriatric patients only to fill a void that will be increasing as a significant portion of the population ages. I most definitely fill your point is valid. I just am not sure this is the policy to add younger people to.

While most things at CMS fall over the age of 65 they also influence changes for those that are younger because of their payment system and regulations they pose for others to follow. I am hoping they will change this to at least those 45 and older as a compromise. I have spoken with high level folks at CMS and they like my idea. I do not believe you will get a second chance soon if this goes thru as it is. It has taken about 15 years to get here. I am more then happy to speak to you by zoom and you could place more details then what I am saying here. Send me a email address privetly and I can share a few more things for you to see.
