Down Syndrome with early onset dementia

Hi! My daughter, born with DS is 31 years old and started showing signs of dementia long before I realized what was happening. I had planned for so many different problems, but not once did I think this would be it. As I watch her decline, it breaks my heart and all I can do is try to keep life as normal as possible. My Mom passed in 2017 after living with me for 5 years, succumbing to lewy body dementia, and part of me feels like I just don't know how to go through this all again. Soo, anyone else out there with a similar situation? Wishing peace and comfort to all on these forums.

Hi sarahavamom - welcome to 'here', but sorry for the reason.

I am so sorry you are dealing with that. Yes, it is very hard to see our LO in this situation, and difficult having to be dealing with it. Do browse the forum. It is a good place for a lot of info and commiseration.
